I’ve been telling folks for YEARS about weight training. You have to build muscle in order to lose weight. Cardio is great for the heart and getting your blood flowing for endurance, but when you stop running… the calories stop burning. When you build muscle, hours even days later.. you are still burning calories because the muscles in your body are repairing and growing. This is calorie burning at its best. Oh by the way…. when you build muscle… your metabolism speeds up.

…and people please stop eating all those fake foods with weight loss key words. (Low-calorie, low fat, etc) All these fake foods do is make you gain weight in the long run because they confuse your body by starving it. When you try to starve your body, your body will protect itself by eating away at your muscle tissue. As stated before, when you have less muscle tissue, it is much easier to GAIN weight.
