What is Tabatas?
The basis of Tabata Training is 4 minutes of intense interval training/circuit training. Tabata Training can be done with a number of different exercises. The idea is to use an exercise that gets the whole body involved or at least the major muscle groups. Tabata Training can be done with Barbells, Dumbells, Kettlebells or just Bodyweight exercises.
Do one exercise as hard as you can for 20 seconds.
Rest for 10 seconds
Repeat this cycle 7 more times for a total of 8 sets with different exericses.
So what you have is a total of 4 minutes workout time.
Tabatas is a great form of fitness boot camp. It works just like a traditional fitness boot camp, but it does not last 1 full hour. It only last 30 minutes, and you end up burning the same or more calories in half the time, plus you don’t give your body time to relax and recover between exercises which results in more of an intense workout.
