Just like I keep telling people about exercise, you have to stay consistent and constant with interval training. All that waiting around for the next exercise is a waist of time and you are not burning fat. Unless you are doing some serious weight lifting, you do not need to constantly wait around.

Bodybuilding exercises need time to recover due to the lactic acid buildup in the muscle. When that acid builds up, you cannot do another repitition until the lactid acid in the muscle desipates (the burn). It usually takes about 2 minutes depending on how much weight you are lifting. The you hit it again.

The best way to burn fat is to lift heavy to build muscle which increases your metabolism which helps burn fat even when you are not exercising. Most obese people don’t lift heavy weights. All they do is cardio which burn off muscle tissue which slows down your metabolism which aids in WEIGHT GAIN!
