Fitness Boot Camp

I have 3 questions for you.
1. Do you want to lose weight?
2. Do you want to live a healthy life?
3. How long have you been wasting time trying to do it yourself?
People tell me this all the time…. “I’ve loss about 40 lbs on my own, but I have been stresses out lately and the weight is coming back, and OI don’t know why?”

I’ll tell you why! You didn’t do it the right way.
I ask these questions, and they always say yes. Maybe you will say yes also.
Q. Have you spent a bunch of money joining a DIET program like Jenny Craig or Nutri-System?
A. If you did, then the joke is on you. ALL DIETS DON’T WORK! All you are doing is starving yourself from a normal balance healthy diet, and when you stop the diet and eat normal foods… this is when the weight comes back and YOU CAN’T STOP IT.
Q. Do you do a ton of cardio on the treadmill or bicycle like 5 days a week for hours at a time hitting 2 or 3 miles a day?
A. 2 things…. All that cardio is bad for your knees and tons of cardio will burn calories and it will also burn off muscle tissue in your body. So if you are burning off muscle in your body… how do you expect to increase your metabolism. You are only SLOWING it down. You body fat % will go up and you are simply defeating thepurpose of toning up and getting a nice tight stomach. STOP ALL THAT DUMB CARDIO!!! You need to be doing this kind of cardio. Swimming, basketball, raquetball, skating, dancing, interval cardio.
Q. Do you try to burn more calories than you eat?
A. This is one of the dumbest myths ever created. It is simply stupid to try to burn off more calories than you eat all day. If you eat 2500 calories a day, how do you expect to burn off 3000 calories to lose weight? You can run at full speed on a treadmill for 1 hour and only burn about 500 calories. Now you are 2500 calories short. How are you gonna burn this off. People this is a weight loss myth. The trick to losing weight is lifting weights and building muscle to speed up your metabolism, and i mena real weights.. not curling 10 lb dumbells, not bench pressing 25 lbs, not squating 40 lbs, you get the picture. Women waste time doing this every day in the gym. You have to lift REAL weights to build muscle. You cannot build muscle curling 10 lb dumbells, and you will NOT bulk up. That is a myth. Women.. you are not taking steriods, you are not getting testosterone shots, and you are not sucking down carb loading and protein shakes like the bodybuilders…. are you?
These are just a few issues people have about weight loss that I hear everyday.

Testimonial: I train groups in Buckhead at Lenox Park. This past MAy I had 9 ladies in the group. All of them were no more than 160 lbs. At the end of the month they all averaged 7 lb weight loss. 1 lady didn’t loss anything, because she only weighed 124lbs. Also this camp was only 2 DAYS A WEEK. If they can do it, you can do it.
Stop wasting time complaining and making excuses. Just make it happen or you will shortly be heading to the doctor to be diagnosed with diabetes, heart disease, or some other food related issue.
Why would any body voluntarily want to be fat? Even if you do exercise and it’s not happening, it is the same thing as not doing anything. You are just wasting money at the gym and co-pays to your doctor and filling prescriptions at CVS. The food industry, medical industry, and pharmecutical industry are all working together to get your money.
